Background
Marcel Brinkmann is working as lawyer at Schindhelm in Osnabrück since 2015. Since 2019 he has also been responsible for the management of the Shanghai and Taicang offices.
Marcel Brinkmann studied law at the universities of Osnabrück and Lausanne (CH) from 2006 until 2012. He was an assistant at the European Legal Studies Institut at the Universität Osnabrück, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Christian von Bar, from 2010 until 2012.
After completing the first state examination in law in the year 2012 he passed his legal clerkship at the higher regional court at Hamm. He took his second state examination in law in the year 2015.
Marcel Brinkmann primarily advises corporations, shareholders, managing directors and supervisory board members in the field of corporate and commercial law, especially regarding corporate structures and restructuring (including corporate housekeeping), as well as on M&A and real estate projects.
In this context a focus is on counselling and representation of corporations, shareholders and managing directors on insolvency law on creditor or debtor site before as well as during insolvency proceedings.
Marcel Brinkmann works in the area of foreign investment and accompanies German companies in their business activities in the People’s Republic of China. Also in this respect the focus areas of the legal consulting are corporate law, real estate and cross-border M&A transactions as well as general contractual law.
In addition to legal support of German companies in the People’s Republic of China, he also advises Chinese companies in their entry on the German market.
